She fucked up, her response to the fan's (reasonable and well-thought out) criticism was inappropriate and she was an asshole. No company is going to want that kind of public customer interaction. I don't know if firing her was the correct response but it was reasonable enough given the circumstances. Gaming media stays losing for screaming about this. GamerGate sucks but that doesn't mean that they weren't right this time. Again, firing this writer was reasonable under the circumstances. The initial incident was really poorly handled by her.
