My biggest issue with Aloy, apart from being totally humourless, is that she's completely unfeminine. You get the feeling with developers that they think they can make a female character 'strong and independent' by basically writing a guy with tits and long hair. It doesn't work like that. Women are actually different from men. The same could be said about Nadine in the Uncharted series. Although, the to ND, Chloe is a really great female character - tough but convincingly female.
