Reposting my thoughts from the other thread. Good article, really enjoy these postmortem type of stories. Sony has really come full circle in a way from the PS1 days after moving further and further from developer friendly hardware with the PS2 and PS3. That said, I don't agree with the thread being rebooted when crossplay is directly mentioned in the article. It's forcing safe spaces for pockets of the community, supports hive-mind mentality, and hinders growth in people's understanding of different view points. I'll leave it at that since it seems to be a sensitive subject.
