I won't take my kids with me to R rated films until they're 18, or at least 15-16, depending on the film. It's a rating guideline for a reason. Although by the time they're older, they will be "too cool" to hang out with their parents. The people who take their prepubescent kids to Deadpool 2 bothered me. Thankfully, Deadpool 2 wasn't as violent / sexual as the first film I wonder why... /s

Just finished last night. Going back for Crushing right now. TBH I did not enjoy Uncharted 1&2 that much, did not play 3 and 4. This one was pretty alright. Although for a game where half of the time you spend climbing, the climbing is a bit monotonous, just like the recent Tomb raider or AssCreed and the likes. Something like Prince of Persia required more dexterity I remember. They could have introduced a stamina bar, I wonder if it helps. Chloe and Nadine are more of "laid back" x "serious" dynamics we see a lot in media, but they do have good chemistry. Chlodine is a thing!

Bayonetta : Kilgore kicks. Dragons dogma : Bow & Arrows are all you need. Mass effect 2: Engineer + Quarian perk = Pet class with 2 drones for both close up and range. Fallout New Vegas : Take Boon with you. Give him the best sniper rifle. This was exactly what I did.

Can confirm the keyboard mapping works. I love the atmosphere and the style of this game. If it's not funded I'd be so gutted. Naomi is the hilarious type of bitchy. I love her. I know it's a prototype, but I still went out to find glitches. Here are two: If you walk into the walls at these two areas while turning the camera, you can sometimes see through the buildings. For examples: Results: Second "glitch," I put the sheep down under John and he steps on it.

OP by the time you finish the game you'd have gotten so much better. It's great at teaching you how to play. I thought I was bad on my first playthrough on Normal but I had a much easier time on harder modes. I played on ps3, Xbox 360 and WiiU. The ps3 version was surprisingly playable after the patches.

Just finished a 4 hours session. The performance is much improved. My friends were no longer kicked from the game randomly. There were no random hiccups while driving either. We also destroyed all the plague hearts with only Sheriff missions to do. We still have yet to kill any Bloaters or Juggernauts though.

It feels it becomes "normal" for my coop buddies to quit and rejoin games. Hopefully we get a patch sometimes next week. I exiled a character on my last session but he is still in the community with the Exile button changed to "Cancel exile", does he get out after the day is over?

Just played around 4-5 hours of it in one sitting in coop. We always stick together so I didn't notice any rubber banding problems. There were a few glitches like coop partners can't see my buildings, stuck in wall (twice). I find it hilarious they have a Stuck radio call. It's like a self - aware nod. One funny glitch was when an Npc got into our car and the game thought he was dead. So his body ends up taking up a seat without moving or doing anything. The base building is an improvement compared to the first game. Most characters are useful now since they come with combat upgrades. There are only community quests so far. I think they would open up once one of my characters hit leader rank. I had to put down a community because they were hostile to our group. I wonder if exile problem members are a good idea. My doc does not play well with another recruit.

One of the things I like about Soulsborne games is you're always progressing. Play an hour or two and you can either level up, find new bonfires/shortcuts, upgrade your weapons/flasks, kill a boss etc. It's not choke full of meaningless sidequests. Most areas attempt something new, like Undead Settlement is about crowd control, Road of Sacrifices is about crowd control while avoiding magical projectiles, Cathedral has the "blood loss" thing or something, Farron Keep is about getting poisoned and killed a lot then you gotta run back and try to clear the Cathedral first to get the poison ring. Why is the Cathedral so big? Souls games take religion so seriously.

Wolnir's concept art was pretty badass.By the time I got to this boss, my weapon can break the bracelets in 6-7 hits. I levelled up Endurance plenty, so that's within one combo + one more hit. I only died once from the poison, I thought it was the darkness that killed my character.

After 4 games, I think I'm getting good at Souls games. I killed the first boss on my second try without a shield. The transform bit put me off a little but you can easily get in 2-3 hits just staying close to him. Just focusing on endurance and stamina on levelling at the moment. No idea where to go next.

Hmmm... Remind me of that article about Fresh off the boat where they say the show shouldn't have to represent all of Asian families. At the same time, since there's not much representation of Asians on the screen, all depictions should be careful of how they portray Asian images. To be honest, I don't like it. Same, they're just as good. That dinner scene reminded me of the dinner scene in Brothers. I found all Insidious movies entertaining, except for The last key. It was under a different director anyway. I really need to rewatch Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby. Rosemary's baby was a bit dated when I first saw it. I didn't find it as thrilling as expected.

Even in most horror, most people don't show the death of a child. So Charlie's death was very shocking to me. And the mood of the film drops even lower from there. The reactions of the son, and when he heard his mother's screams. Incredibly uneasy and "real". Great choices of actors /actresses. One of the best things about horror films is that they don't pick well known people, so you watch them and you can feel it's the characters playing themselves, not a popular actors /actresses. I can see the comparison. The ending of both films kinda ruined it. There's a fine line between uncanny and plain silliness. Once you start saying the plot points out loud, they lose their mystery. I'd rather have to think to myself whether the whole film was real, or just retold in the point of view of the mum.

I had no idea she had an allergic reaction. I guess I'm not very familiar with the subject. That made so much more sense. Yeah. I thought something unnatural was involved. But it turned out she really died. I prefer if it was a bit more ambiguous. I just feel it'd result in more interesting discussions. Wow. Just finished the film. It's like the vvitch but way way better. Incredibly uncomfortable and tense. I like how the film feels very grounded, so when something happens it's very unsettling and uncanny. The ending of this film and the vvitch were probably used to cut back the tension. They both were so absurd, hard to take seriously.

I feel you. I played like 4-5 Eldritch horror game solo, it's pretty cool but it's not as immersive as video games. Played one with friends but they reckoned it was way too complicated and long. (It's how I like it dammit!) Agree with this. Minis are more style than substances. There's nothing you can't do with mini that you can't with some simple tokens, plus it would bring the cost down too.

I like how he interprets the Lovecraft characters as the outsiders of the world. It reminds me of that scene in SH3 with Vincent, "They look like monsters to you?" The only monster I still have troubles with is Diablo. I could kill other HR solo without being carted, but Diablo's attacks have large range, hard to come in with my hammer. I usually just do gliding attack from the side. I think the game assume you'd grind a fair bit up to that point.

Just finished my first 3 hours session with two friends. Took us an hour to figure out how everything works, another two to turn in the first chickens. Our ship got absolutely stuck and sunk the first time we tried to "park". We killed a solo pirate who shot us first. We also got sunk out of nowhere when we were close to deliver the first chickens. It's like there was a cutscene of some sort, then bam, water was everywhere. Then i saw a Merman that took me back to my ship that's kilometres away from my Outpost without my coops and loot. So odd. Everything in this game costs so much. Our Golds for our time weren't enough to buy anything but hair.

I finished 5 this month, that's pretty good.(PS4)- 5 hours. ★★★☆ Super fun party game. Easy to learn, hard to master. It's almost like a game of rock, paper & scissor. The more you play, the more reading you have on your opponent and they also do the same to you. (PS4)- 20 hours. ★★★★ This is a massive improvements from the first game. RNGs can still get you sometimes, but you can counter it with the right deck build to improve your chance of success. There are more of everything: more weapons, more enemy types, more armours/artifacts. Each challenge has their own distinctive flavours, all of them requiring you to understand how to build a good deck since goblin build isn't very useful. Some cards are way too useful to leave behind though. If only the dealer would shut up whenever I pick my favourite cards. Combat is still very repetitive, but not challenging. It's only getting "harder" because the game would throw more enemies at you in later levels, not because the enemies are particularly well designed. I lost more HP to careless mistakes due to boredom rather than difficulty.(Switch)- 10 hours. ★★★☆ Another fun party game. We spent as much time yelling at each other as cooking. 4 party is the optimal amount to get the most out of this game. Each map has its own gimmicks, not all of them good, but designed well enough so it's not frustrating, especially for casual gamers. (XBO)- 5 hours. ★★☆☆ I'm split between liking it and feeling indifferent towards it. While enemy/level designs are fun to tackle, control is tight and responsive, and the graphic still holds up very well, there were quite a few things I disliked, for example there's no fast switching between 3 different dragon modes, no in-game tutorials and a few frustrating trial & error battles with no checkpoints. (XBO)- 8 hours. ★★★★ Technically this is a replay. I remember enjoying the vanilla on the older consoles. This was really fun anyhow, beated it in 3 sittings. Story is a bit simplistic, but I enjoyed the gameplay, the tone and characters. Apparently this version improved on the original version, but it has been years I can't tell the differences. :/

May 2018:(XBO)- 12+ hours. ★★☆☆ It was a decent shooter, but dragged on for too long. The initial enemies were not as fun to fight as the Locusts were in the original games. Some new guns were great additions to the franchise though, but the Lancer still has its place in the game. The story was not something to write home about either. Did not try multiplayer though.(XBO)- 15 hours. ★★★★ I loved it. It was a much better game than Infinite. It improved the gameplay of the original Bioshock, but the story was not as good. The last few levels felt like a filler, but I still enjoyed it and went out of my way to collect everything. The X360 port was a mess though, a lot of texture glitches.(PS4)- 50 hours. ★★★☆ It is not as good as previous games. Yakuza 5 is still the best game in the franchise for me. You can tell the effort of moving it to a new engine means they had to cut some areas in Kamurocho. Some classic mini-games still remain, but the new ones are only decent. The story did not draw me in as much either. It is a decent conclusion of Kiryu's story though. Good game.

April 2018:(PS4)- 40+ hours. ★★★★ The pacing is very similar to Bloodborne with the exception of the roll/side step move. The difficulty is still off the roof hard, probably the most difficult time I had with a Soulsborne game. Really enjoyed the Weapon Arts system. Levels are beautiful and comprehensive. Enemies are well designed and paced. When you go through later levels you feel you have enough experience and skill to overcome them without feeling like the game is cheap. I still don't care enough to understand the story, I'm sure it's cool to enthusiasts.(PS4)- ~20 hours. ★☆☆☆ It's a sequel to Fate/Extra CCC. The story is more enjoyable if you had previous knowledge of Fate/Extra series (CCC is not localised.) It sets after Hakuno has managed to win the Holy Grail War. She is then split into three parts, each part comes with their own Servant. The game retells the story in different perspectives, with a conclusion to tie them all in together. The gameplay is probably the weakest part. It's repetitive, boring and holds no weight. Story comes across as masturbatory sometimes but it's a "harem" genre, so it's hard to fault it for trying. I'd enjoy it more if the game goes back to the Extra gameplay direction.(PS4)- ~4 hours. ★★★☆ Very enjoyable sidescrolling stick-shooter. The game is colourful and fast paced. I like being able to switch up playstyle with the right upgrades/bombs. My favourite combination is: Strike Detonation/Shockwave Radius/Bomb Probability. The only downside is its short length. Later levels are punishing even on default difficulty with very few checkpoints and a lot of annoying enemies. Spawning gets a bit repetitive sometimes and there's not that much variation between levels. Boss fights are somewhat fun and takes a fair enough of endurance/reaction skills to get through them. (PS4)- ~12 hours. ★★☆☆ This is a bit of a cheat since I haven't "finished" the game and won't attempt to. After 12 hours I felt I had enough to know what the game has to offer and I believe the gameplay loop won't get that different. This is a step down from previous GR games. It IS entertaining with friends, I wouldn't be able to play that much solo. This is The Division all over again, great ideas but too "busy" with samey activities to keep my interest. (PC)- 8 hours. ★★★☆ A JRPG/point 'n click-esque game without a combat mechanic. Finding the right combination of items/locations is a clever way for you to revisit different locations, and each time you'd find a new meaning to the placement of that item/location. It does get boring backtracking but the story/characters managed to hold my interest long enough to complete it. Good game to enjoy at least once. (XBO)- 20 hours. ★★☆☆ Despite the lack of contents, SoT has great game mechanics and ideas. It is very enjoyable to play with the right crew where everyone WILL have to put in to even move the ship to the right location. Won't attempt to play it solo though. Feel like I tried everything it has to offer. Will set it aside for now until the next major update. (XBO) - 5 hours. ★★★☆ It actually is a better game than it looks. Very clever use of stop-start time in a shooter. Bullets sometimes move even if you don't so you have to be on your toe and watch out for them from all directions. Shooting feels good and satisfying. There's a new mechanic in the later level that makes the game even better. Oh, before I forget: SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter i've played in years! (PS4) - 20 hours. ★★★☆ Found this very enjoyable. Although not expertly written, the campaign was very well paced and contained tons of fanservices. There were enough amount of shooting and dogfighting. The multiplayer was very fun in short bursts. Although I felt overpowered by veterans most of the time. There were still many multi modes to enjoy even though I did not buy into the whole progression system. Hero vs Villain and Galatic assault were my personal favourites.

March 2018 games that I completed.- 8 hours. ★★☆☆ I get why it's popular, but it's not really my thing. Music was really good though. I enjoyed some side characters. - 28 hours. ★★★★ Basically RTTP. The Shadowrun Returns formula was perfected in this game. Some areas were really intense, especially with the last boss. Really enjoyed the companion NPCs and the choices given to you to complete missions.- 12 hours. ★☆☆☆ It's not that good, it's not that bad, the humour was 8 : 2 on miss/hit ratio. Very repetitive but mindlessly entertaining. They put some effort into the boss fights, surprisingly. There was a lot of lags if you chose to play online on the PS3 though. Went through it once was enough for me. - 26 hours. ★★★★ The best RPG I've played this year so far. The companions are all funny, interesting and useful. The story felt really personal. After scouring the underbelly of Hong Kong's cyberpunk-ified cities, I'm surprised not many developers would explore this setting. The final battle of the expansion was really trying and the conclusion was satisfying for me.

February 2018: - 40 hours. ★★★☆ Must admit the story let me down, I was promised the best RPG of all time. Gameplay was fun, but not as fancy as modern RPGs. Couldn't bring myself to finish Throne of Baal. - 100 hours. ★★★★ Surprised of how much I enjoyed it. Great gameplay loop, fun both offline and online. Stopped myself after getting the credits to play other games. - 30 hours. ★★☆☆ As a big fan of Saints Row, disappointed with this game's the direction. Started to get into it around 5 hours mark. Very repetitive. Did not have much to offer in term of contents. It's a shame because some agents are genuinely fun and likable.

It was my first time playing the game. You can replay on Story mode, it shouldn't take long to get through the game that way. I did not do a lot of side quests or exploring in BG2, I put it on Normal but moved it down a notch on some boss fights if I died too many times. I started to rush it around Underdark city area to see the ending so I sort of refer to the guide.

Only 4 a month, I can do this! I finished 45 games last year. ( Did not count each episode as a game and did not count replays.) January 2018: (PC) - 28 hours. ★★★☆ My Baldur's gate cherry has finally been popped. Great introduction to old-school classics. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, although kinda ran out of steam at the end. (XBO)- 22 hours. ★★★★ This was more enjoyable than I thought. I had my doubts going in since I did not like the demo. Level design is so good. (PS4)- 20 hours. ★★★★ Just as fun as the first game. I like how they did not rehash gameplay and aimed to do something else. Story was silly, enjoyable and managed to clarify a small plot point of the first game. Bayonetta has to be one of the most divisive characters. As a character, she has a distinctive personality, but it's the camera/game that oogle and objectify her. I find her to be a good character by herself, but the game is not something I'd use as an example of games with good female leads.

There is a reason hentai is not mainstream. It's like with adult videos, you cannot bring some of its more problematic aspect to mainstream media and normalise it. Also women can experience internalised misogyny, even if a design was made by a woman doesn't mean it is free from sexism. Why did Xenoblade get to this point? It's becoming Valkyria, just trashy design for the hell of it. It's a drastic change.

Nicely put together! Good work, OP. Also I have to comment on the way some people who would provide examples of male power fantasy as if it's as humiliating as female objectification. One other thing that irks me is when people jokes on making the man's crotch area larger and assimilate it to sexualised big breasts in women. Okay I'm biased. If the woman has big ass muscle I would like to see more of her body in game. I think muscular women are awesome!
