I would say it is just a case of learning the track, it is a long track so 8 seconds there is equivalent to 1.5 or so at any other track so you aren't too far off. If you are still having trouble after a few more laps maybe have a look at a youtube video or two and see where the differences are.

Umm, so I guess it didn't register my first go at the manufacturers cup.... I got in again, had qualifying ruined then got span out at 130R, this killed my rear tyres but I had to slide around until the end of lap 5 so I could make it on one stop, got back up to 8th, had a fun race in the last half but had to protect my tyres all of the time to make them last 7 laps.

You slid and I knocked you straight then you slid again and I had nowhere to go! Umm does the weight not relate to the overall weight of the car, eg if 100% = 100kg 105% = 105kg? Am pretty sure that is how it is so my car was actually overweight for the race, am happy to have my points taken off regardless if that race counts, or make sure it is correct the next time. Yeah if you look at the video here you can see as he reduces the weight reduction number the weight of the vehicle goes down, so while I was 4% up on power I was also 5% up on weight :/

That is the way it has been since GT PSP in regards to weight reduction, I think maybe the wording has confused some people. I do know that I would much rather lose 60 kilos than gain 18 odd horsepower so am happy to have been wrong :P

In Group 3 I used mediums until the last three minutes and then pitted and threw on supersofts for the lap that put me on pole. Am ok with people going slow as long as they pay attention to the road around them.

Will see, I tested the actual settings and did a 1.54.3 so that was half a second quicker than I qualified last night. I had 2 laps of fuel left at the end so reckon I can run at 4 if I was to do the same strategy. To be honest if we do a rerun I think I will thrown on softs and do 5 lap stints.

Just had a really fun Sport race, the replay of myself and the winner looks like it could be a real race! Was quicker but just not quick enough to get alongside... In regards to other classes I would love to see DTM and SuperGT back in, both those classes run to broadly the same rules now so would be a great group of cars. I would like to see some GTE cars as well. Together these would bridge the gap between Group 3 and 1.

So that is a Group 3 road car, which harks back to homolgation specials. These are road cars that were specially built to racing regulations so a manufacturer could race in that series. In GT Sport there are some road editions of these, namely some Group 3 and Group B cars. These have some of the extra aero parts etc and more performance but aren't actually Group 3/B cars.

I agree there can be too many dives but there are also far too many issues of people just turning in and causing contact, sometimes you have to accept you are being passed. Also the one move rule is not the case for all race series, in NASCAR for example if you try that you are just going to get dumped off at the next corner.

I would honestly have no trepidation licking and sending a pass into that corner, it's the first braking point after the longest straight on the track, it's THE passing point on the track if anything, especially with a bit of a slipstream. Contact still sucks for those involved of course. I also recommend the radar as well when not racing with fuel use on, helps with those moments when you aren't sure where people are, as Bradley said the lack of peripheral vision doesn't help either.

The problem here is in race two Bradley going off was caused by lag, you can see in both the videos that both myself and experienced different things so in reality it wasn't the fault of either of us, but Bradley was the one who came of worst in the race. Who slows down in that case? I thought I was disadvantaged as I took an impact and lost two spots, Sejanoz thought he was disadvantaged as he thought I hit him into Bradley and Bradley was totally disadvantaged as he was sent off track. If something similar happened again I know I wouldn't be slowing down. Obviously if I make a mistake and knock someone off I will, and have in the past, wait.

Umm, can I get a confirmation of what the next race is? I thought it was the KYM and Honda at Tokyo but I saw some people mention Dragon Trail? Personally I would go with no damage, I don't mind a rolling start either but am also ok with keeping it as it is and going with a standing start. But hey, look at the F1 race at the weekend, even the best can get it very wrong and they don't have to deal with racing over a network!

Just had my first few laps. I want to use the Toyota but from past experience it just doesn't put the laptime in. Will probably go with the Audi, I feel it is slower but more consistent for me. Yeah am 3 seconds slower in the Toyota... Personally my first choice would be the long boi Nissan! Lol

Wow, I didn't realise just how bad the penalties were until qualifying, ended up 3 seconds slower in the race than I was in the laps I practiced haha. Bottled it in race 1 but was happy with race 2 :)

Glad it's over and done with, I have to be honest the stock setups are affecting me as it isn't how I ever play the game but I totally understand the level playing field it gives. So, I need to start paying more attention to things, didn't realise no setups were allowed so any practice I had done was moot. In all honesty the Honda was terrible over kerbs so the last half of the lap was a bit of a nightmare, however the car was still pretty good in the fast corners which ended u saving me in race two.... Qualifying was nice and close think 4 tenths or so covered the top 4 which is always entertaining. Race 1 Made a good start and then you can see what happened haha, Got a run on the inside then I should have lifted but didn't so CLR and I ended up at the back. Had a fun race following him through the pack until I made a mistake again and he left me behind. Fought through to 7th by the end. Race 2 I got a good start from 8th on the grid and managed to get to the lead by the end of lap 1, from there it was relatively uneventful until I made a mistake through the penultimate corner and picked up a penalty. I managed to lose a bit of it which lost me a bit of my lead but the rest I was able to get rid of over the next few laps. The last 8 laps was then just trying my best to old the lead lol, DHC was crazy fast compared to me but I was quick on corner entry on the sweepers so was able to retake the lead a few times at those corners. The second half of the lap was all about getting a decent exit off the corners as DHC was all over me. Very fun race and was delighted to be able to take the Honda to a win.

Yup. And the corner is just slightly not flat so very easy to run wide especially in a rear wheel drive Beetle. The first corner is something else as well, so hard to judge so very inconsistent. And then we have the fast bit towards the end of the lap, it is juuuuust flat, like 1 time in 5 for me so far.

The key part is to reduce BHP till it shows N400 before going into time trial. Then when in time trial go into settings and turn BOP on. It will then set the weight and power accurately.

I can do the odd 1.22 but consistently low to mid 23s. The car is a bit scary though, especially at the chicane at the bottom of the hill.
