Can I just say that I'm waiting for TPCi to respond regarding it being banned. There have been episodes i nthe past that have been delayed beyond their initial airing order. For example: XY078: Lights! Camera! Pika! was skipped in the west and not aired until months later until between XY089: The Frolicking Find in the Flowers & XY090: Tag Team Inspiration! We have no evidence at this time of it actually being banned and it's shoddy journalism and work to say it is at this point Also, there was an Advanced Generation episode banned globally and a Black & White pair of episodes banned globally, with another delayed.

But the encounters you may get are random. It's say a 10% chance that it spawned a Caterpie that can charge at you. Just because you see them now doesn't mean they're not random. We've seen in footage how they spawn and despawn

No. The anime seldom makes reference to the remakes. We have titles up to mid July. We still have many Ultra Beasts, the Poipole Arc, the Necrozma arc, the Poni Island trials, the Alola League to get through, plus Ash & Kiawe filling out a team for the league. There's not enough time. There's space for 18 episodes, assuming no breaks. If they did nothing but this at an accelerated pace, they'd still not make it. The next year will still be Sun & Moon, in which they've already returned to Kanto. Then it'll move to Gen 8

I'm of the belief that maybe the original idea for Let's Go was intended to be on mobile, as that sort of style fits mobile well. However, Nintendo obviously wouldn't allow for a full fledged Pokémon game to be on mobile. Ishihara has thankfully said Gen 8 will look great graphically so fingers crossed.

Random encounters aren't necessarily bad. Hell, technically this is random encounters. A Pokémon spawns and has X% chance of being Kakuna or Oddish or Caterpie etc. and then will leave and a new one spawns etc. So it's still random encounter, we just see it spawn before encountering :) I'd be happy if this was an element from Let's Go that carried over to Gen 8

But with such a thing, why does battling have to go? Like said, you can have these wild encounters in this manner and still battle wild Pokémon, even with a GO catch mechanic. The removal of battling them is unnecessary.

The anime is irrelevant to this. I didn't go back and forth with Manaphy either. All I said is that technically you got the event for it before Diamond & Pearl. It was the same with Magearna too A Pokémon is part of the generation from which the first mainline game it is available in. Therefore this Pokémon will be from Generation 7.

If we didn't know Gen 8 was coming next year, I'd probably be jumping in with the doom & gloom. However, seeing as how my nephew struggled to get into Gen 6/7 (to the point I wrote this for NintendoLife , even suggested catching Pokémon like in GO, though I wanted wild battles still), I see it as a necessary evil to increase the userbase as even though people bash Game Freak for having such a view, kids do have lower attention spans and even some lower capabilities than when we were young. As long as the casualisation doesn't invade the core core series and remains in the Let's Go core series, I'm happy.

In 2015 they absorbed mobile company "Koa Games" so that could have helped but, according to their own website (), they had 143 as of April 2018 However, I believe this is an error on Eurogamer's part. They probably said 300 are working on the game. That'd include staff at Nintendo who help with netcode etc., and staff at Creatures Inc. who do the modelling not to mention the localisers at Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International.

He heard of the project and that they had ported the engine to Switch for either Let's Go or testing for Gen 8 and he conflated it Indifferent. I'm more excited for Gen 8

The community is so welcoming to a point. When you get into it, it can get a bit cliquey and certainly levels of elitism exist, but they are very welcoming to new people :) I'm glad you had fun They did that for the Pokémon World Championships last year. During that weekend, they increased Tauros spawns, brought Kangaskhan over, and brought the Unown letters W, O, R, L, D & S to be around the Anaheim convention center and it was INSANE These are all people playing GO around the Convention Center just as the event ended. There were raids continually cycling (the Legendary Birds were in their final week so all 3 Kanto ones and Lugia were possible). I did a raid with Game Freak staff, people ran when an Unown spawned around. It was constantly lured. It was great. I would not be surprised if they do that again

Yeah you just need to compare the events of this year to the events of last year. It shows there's a lot of do. Adventure Week 2017 had increased Rock-type spawns and a new hat Adventure Week 2018 had increased Rock-type spawns, new shinies of Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutop & Aerodactyl, Special Rock-type Raid Battles, Special Field Research focused on Rock-type Pokémon and special item boxes to encourage people to spend money to keep playing. This was compounded by the release of Shiny Ho-Oh as a Legendary Raid battle chance which also caused people to do more Raid Battles.

I mean it all depends how the data is being framed. After Summer 2016, it dropped to around 60m MAU. If it went up to 75m MAU, which is still impressive, then the title is still accurate. PLUS, it's no surprise that May 2018 did better than May 2017. They have gone full hog in the events, to entice people to pay & play, with their own special bundles. Shiny Legendary Pokémon have been a thing which have majorly got people buying Premium Raid Passes. Plus Community Day encourages people to get out and go, with a special item bundle for more. It's a devious and genius thing Niantic have done. It encourages play and it encourages pay.

They’re being used in VGC competitions. Seriously though due to how VGC works with teams and builds constantly being cycled, the likelihood of full shiny teams is minimal and is often an indicator. The majority of VGC players do unfortunately break the rules but unless it’s blatant (illegal move, ball etc) their hack check just can’t pick it up and their manual hack check has had so many errors itself in the past that I had to notify them of that it’s not really easy to spot

The VGC community is generally accepting of rulebreaking, hence the amount of people who hack. It doesn't matter if they're "indistinguishable", it's still against the rules and I have little to no respect for anyone who does it and those who attempt to justify it. Rules are rules and to be enforced. It sucks that Alberto did it, and he should have known better but it is what it is. Seen so many people jump on the guy who reported it. The notion of "snitches get stitches" is ridiculous. Was it a dick move out of jealousy? Perhaps. However, rules were broken and the fact that cliques are a thing and try to stop rule breaking being reported and jump on those who report it is a bit silly

Na. It was loved after ORAS hit. 2015 had CHALK (Cresselia, Heatran, Amoonguss, Landorus, Kangaskhan). 2016 has Kangaskhan often teamed with the Primals too. However, when Sun & Moon hit, Parental Bond got nerfed from the second hit being 50% to 25% and Power-up Punch was ripped away from it in the VGC meta causing it to be a lot less viable.

People were expecting lots based on nothing. This wasn't a "relaunch" I think that'd be for games like Pokémon and Animal Crossing where the ability to backup and reload your saves would break your game. Pokémon and Animal Crossing already have similar restrictions on the 3DS (you can't load a backed up save that's older than your current one) and so forth, on Gamecube you couldn't move those saves to other memory cards etc.

I do think too many people are sleeping on the classic games element. Included in the subscription we have these classic games, with added online features, all for no extra cost, with more to be added regularly including SNES and probably more consoles. Managed to get Ruto's Level 4 weapon so it made it easier. I've been focusing on getting all keeps but lately I've been hitting the KO requirements for A rank way early so that's been making things easier Just got the four giants so am on the final bits of Termina :)

Don't assume that just because they're in the network traffic. Shiny Mew was added to network traffic Shiny Latios/Latias were added to network traffic All Gen 3 Pokémon are added to network traffic. They are not available By adding them all, they can do events where they drop the shiny ones and not have people datamine the shit out it it, as we saw with the Poochyena event

He's not even a week in his new position. And they do that, hence Bayonetta, Metroid Prime etc. Nintendo just want to show the games being at their top form really. Nothing wrong with that. 2016 & 2017 nailed it when you look at the reactions to what they showed, look at how packed their E3 booth was and various other things. 2018, as was said, had the most discussed elements be from Nintendo's reveals. Nintendo treat it exactly like a trade show. They hold closed doors briefings for media and business partners. They have places to try upcoming products. That's what a trade show is, not live presentations. Look at how E3 was. The pomp and circumstance of the "live presentations" with endless canned cheering and buzzwords is not a trade show. That has been capitalised upon as the Internet progressed because they knew fanboys on Internet forums like this lap it up. It has nothing to do with press or business. Also, UX updates etc. are irrelevant to a trade show where they show their upcoming products and belong in Directs etc. Come on, you're just clamouring for reasons to be negative now.

Pokémon is low because it hadn't had a reveal trailer and it's just a 48 minute Treehouse segment. Its reveal trailer came 2 weeks ago and has amassed a combined 13+ million views on Youtube. It wasn't revealed at E3 so it wasn't talked about as much. When it was revealed, it was talked about a lot.

It's like Nintendo revealing the NX when they announced going mobile. They knew the Internet, media etc. would go crazy with asinine stuff like "Pokémon is getting rebooted"

Nintendo manage to publish at least 1, if not 2, titles a month for the Switch, many of which are developed in house or overseen inhouse. At least 2 of these a year are big titles. Not even Ubisoft or Activision have this level of output and you're telling me it's not enough? Nintendo are doing fine and are keeping up. Making decisions you do not like does not mean they're not keeping up. It means maybe their stuff isn't for you. Never has a more true post been made

The plan is, if this goes down well, for there to be two mainline series. An accessible one like Let's Go The more traditional one like Gen 8. Masuda pretty much said as much

But how many of those titles are Sony made, and Microsoft made? You're splitting hairs here. You're wanting Nintendo to not just be Nintendo but to cover the realm taken by Activsion, Ubisoft, EA etc. which is unrealistic. If Nintendo's production pipeline is struggling? How the hell is Microsoft's doing?

Let's Go is mainline. Don't quibble with that. Game Freak say it. Nintendo say it. The Pokémon Company say it. Just because you don't like it or its mechanics doesn't mean it's not mainline. Ok, let's go back to X & Y. 3DS was at 42 million as of December 31st 2013, which is a bit higher than the projected 37 million by end of FY. In the two and a half months from launch to that point, X & Y had sold 11.1 million units.

Pokémon Sun & Moon sold 14.69 million units in the first month and 10 days of sale. I mean the original statement is a bit foolish as it's unlikely, but let's not act like Pokémon doesn't sell
