Thread: PSA: Do not download the Ys VIII Switch DLC before the Day 1 Patch
Update for everyone concerned: we are aware of the issue and working with Nintendo to solve immediately. For now we've taken down the DLC from the store to prevent anyone who could encounter this issue. If you get the error message, please remove the cart, delete the local data via Manage Software and reinstall without downloading the DLC. The main title and patches are not affected. This should have no effect on Save Data.

Thread: ADD/ADHDera, let's share coping mechanisms
Diagnosed at 19 with ADHD (but clearly had it since an early age, parents were weird about medicating). Was medicated for a few years but haven't been on Concerta for years now. Thought many times of going back on it but it is rather pricey. Lists have been tremendously helpful as OP points out. Music is definitely really good at sort of keeping that distracted part of my brain focused (EDM, stuff with as little lyrics as possible). Since it's been so long since I last was on medication there are a few questions I guess I'd like to have fielded by people more recently medicated. -Are there any better low-intensity medicines that have developed in the last decade that people would recommend? -One of my larger fears about Concerta was long-term effects relating to general focus & anxiety. Anybody seen anything about long-term medication use and its effects? -Is there any medication that you can get without therapy or visits to a psychiatrist? Was one of the more annoying restrictions on previous medication requests. For my case, hyper-activeness, lack of focus-- fish oil has been completely useless. I think it's probably better for people with memory issues?

Hm... It's not just me reading these threads, I know a good amount of our office does, as I imagine more places in the industry do as well, I just decide not to lurk. Working in any creative practice I think you gotta be at peace with the idea you open yourself to criticism with a public work. Whether that's the original game, the port, the translation, the packaging design, the marketing, etc. Games truly are a interdisciplinary collaborative work that rivals nearly any creative endeavor. At the end of the day, and sometimes this is hard to see through the smoke, most of us here to do a good job and not just pick up a paycheck. Equally so, I've tried to be as open as I can while juggling corporate responsibility and professional decorum. We need to hear from players so that we know what we are doing right as much as what we are doing wrong, so I know there's been some tough criticism, but that is instrumental in improving and moving forward (except for the 'pls die'-type posts). By the by, my policy is never open up until 10-20 years after or death of the company.

Man, Europe loves the Crash. I did testing on Crash of the Titans and it was the only product I've ever worked on that in addition to doing EFIGS did Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and Swedish (and I think Icelandic and maybe a few others?). I have never heard of something going so deep in on Northern Europe localization. But according to my project leads and producers at the time it was like "Well, it does staggeringly well in Europe."

Thanks for posting this! In his initial call for the article, Alan mentioned that "on my initial look of the title" is where the original analysis of the script was formed, but as we've been working on it we decided that the entirety of the script was to be reviewed. I just want to reassure that we are taking this incredibly seriously. In the spirit of open discussion with our fan base we have about where we are in the process and samples of the work we are doing. I know how much this means to everyone involved and that there are, rightfully, disappointments from our fans in the initial reaction, but we really are trying to be as honest and transparent with everyone, while still keeping our obligations to our partners like Falcom in what we can and can't divulge.
