My friend bought an Optoma HD143X and it's pretty damn nice considering the price. I'm thinking of buying the same one, but there's an issue with it that I don't know if I can look past, so I want to check if you guys have any experience with it and if it can be fixed. The projector will very easily lose signal and go to the loading screen when it's checking for inputs. When he borrowed my Blu-Ray player, this happened every time he went from one menu to the other, when going from the system menu to the disc itself, and when using his PC it happened whenever a game was launched into full screen mode. I get that it's normal for devices to do this when the device starts outputting something at a different refresh rate or resolution, but the way his projector did it was just excessive. I didn't even know navigating menus on my Blu-Ray player did this as I've never experienced it on my LG 55" TV. Anyone have any experience with this and how it could be changed to be smoother?

I'm not for body-positivity, but person positivity. When I compared myself to all the adverts, I hated myself and had a hard time finding the energy to actually do something about it. Then I started working on myself, going to therapy and overcoming my fears, and suddenly I started feeling more and more proud over myself. This led to me finding the strength to actually take care of my diet and star working out. The obsession we have with perfection today is bad, but I really don't like people just swallowing the whole "love yourself" concept without taking any of the nuances in consideration.

Played through it yesterday with a friend. I liked it for the most part, but 70% of the time I was just thinking of other ways I'd preferred the gameplay to be. After years of not really playing the AAA forays, I've realized I'm so over games that are way too contextual. Game would've been better if it just had gameplay rather than having everything be a prompt. Most of the time when playing the game, me and my friend were just making fun of it and sighing over how unengaging the gameplay was. Loved the ending though, and it had some damn cool parts that used the format really well. I've listened a lot to a Swedish radio show where Josef Fares is frequently a guest, and you can see his sensibilities shining through in the game. Good and bad.

They could put the Melee engine in Smash Ultimate, added all the new characters, stages, items and modes etc. and the casual players wouldn't give a shit. From my experience, my casual friends had a lot more fun with Melee back when it was released, than with Smash 4. The top tier level stuff doesn't exactly make the game harder to play. The only thing hampering Melee today for most gamers, is the lack of buffering, which is probably the only tweak they would have to implement.

Only thing I didn't like about this, was the scene when Ventress evaporated. Okay, I've realized that my PC is starting to beome old enough to be between recommended and minimum on most new games, but I really don't want to upgrade at the moment since I would have to buy a new motherboard, ram and CPU (at least) all at the same time. So what do you guys think, am I screwed with my PC soon? I have: Asus Z87-PRO 16GB ram DDR3 @ 2400mhz Haswell i5 4670k @ 3,9ghz OC Asus Geforce 970GTX. Modular PSU @ 600w My CPU is water cooled, and I have two HDD's (one SSD for OS, one 2tb mechanical one for everything else). A new guy at work that I've gotten chummy with invited me out with him and the other people in his training group from work. One of the girls just made me keel over. Crushing so hard. We had a damn good time, we all got very drunk, but I didn't make a fool of myself. We talked a lot, we have a lot of the same passions, aspirations and interests, and she's just delightful talking with. I made her laugh quite a lot. But then I think I dun fucked up. After they had left my apartment at around 4 in the morning (we went to my place for shots), I thought I'd look her up on Facebook. This is when I realized I didn't know if she told me her last name or not, and also she only gave me her abbreviated nickname, rather than her full name as it was pretty hard to pronounce. But with some drunken wits, I managed to find her account, and I can't see if she's friends with anyone else at the party, especially my friend. Still, in my drunken and swooning stupor, I sent her a request. When I woke up, I realized how fucking creepy this is considering the circumstances. She hasn't accepted or declined the request yet, so now I'm sad thinking that I fucked it all up. :/

The international girl, maybe. She's a bit of a mess so I'm staying dormant at the moment. There is another girl though, a co-worker whom I really like, whom I just smile at the thought of spending time with, who is also in love/interested/crushing on me. We went bowling and had fun. Then we took a walk, and by chance ended up close to my place (was actually by chance, I was just about to suggest she took the tram home, but it wouldn't arrive for 20 minutes, and she asked to come up to my apartment). So we made out a lot more, had sex, she slept over etc etc. The sex was very good, at least on her end. I have a hard time enjoying sex with a condom, but if she's happy, I'm happy. But now afterwards, I just feel so torn about this whole thing. I'm thinking about the girl I've had feelings for about a year who lives in a different country, and I don't have any of the doubts I have with this girl. With this girl, the thought of just spending a day together on the couch, chilling, it doesn't really entice me or make me feel happy. Thread: I just Watched The Last Jedi, why was it controversial??
As a guy who will defend TLJ, I see some problems with it. - The structure is just kind of off. The whole movie is them being locked down and chased by the First Order, but then they go off to a casino planet where they spend too much time to find a character who might be able to help them. - The humor in certain scenes kind of deflates the moment. - Finn's sacrifice felt a bit underwritten and pointless from a viewer's perspective. - Leia flying in space could've been done so much better. Would've rather that she wasn't blown out in space, but rather flown to the front of the bridge and from there use her force powers to drag herself to the door. I still feel though that what the movie is going for, is such an admirable and beautiful thing, that it's easy for me to look past any issues. I would rather have a movie shooting for the stars and failing, than a movie being safe and doing ot perfectly.

Thread: Dragon Ball FighterZ |OT2| Let's Rock The Dragon
Okay, so bought this game and I feel like I have no idea how to actually play it. My experiences with fighting games are with Soul Calibur (2), Smash and Tekken. I've played these games quite a lot and have therefore learned how to play fighting games in a way that's about reading the opponent and learning which attacks to do when. In this game though, I feel like there are so many times when I have no idea what's going on and why I got my ass handed to me. I've played through the tutorials, learned the basics and started learning which super moves which characters have, but I still feel like I a lot of times have no idea what I'm doing, or what the enemy did to defeat me. What's the best way for me to learn the game?
