They fuckin better. Without the games, Witcher wouldn't have become the worldwide phenomenon as it is and therefore the Netflix deal would not have been possible. Hell, Obama was given Witcher II: Assassins of Kings when he visited Poland. But Sapkowski however became a bitter old fool because he took a paltry upfront amount before Witcher 1 was released instead of royalties. He is being consulted for the series so the prospects of them adapting anything from the game is slim to none.

I watched the first couple episodes and its a gritty, grounded realist cop thriller. Some of the hindi idioms and language perks unfortunately get lost in translation but thats the nature of watching foreign subbed shows I guess. Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddique are amazing to watch. Best of hindi cinema. Also whenever someone says "fuck!"in the translation, in hindi they're actually saying "sisterfuck!".

I love both. They are both unique and special. GoW does narrative really really well. It's intimate and emotional. Horizon does not have that level of intimacy. But Horizon's story is deeper and complex. God of War's physical melee combat is perfection, but platforming not so much. Horizon's melee combat is bad, but range play and platforming is perfect. There is a perfect lovechild to be had between these two incredible games and it just makes me so excited for the sequels.

Just finished the season, and overall it's an ok show. Just too many goddamn characters to keep track of! I had to stop and google them. The Nielsens, Dopplers, Kahnwalds, Tiedemanns, then their 3 versions across 1953, 1983 and 2019, bit characters like Yasin and others. And on top of all that, these families are connected due to Mikkel time traveling. Just way too much stuff going on. Still have lingering questions. So who is Noah? Why are only kids being taken and their eyes burned out? How did Mads' body get dropped into the cellar? Why did Mikkel/Jonas' father hang himself? What was the point of opening letters after specific time and date? I'm just not sure if I want to watch the season again to have my questions answered. Also some scenes were pretentious nonsense. That scene with Martha talking about existentialism in a play went on for too goddamn long. In the end I wanted to groan.

In a week, I have been doing: 1-2 days 24 hour fasts 2 days 18 hour fasts 1-2 days 16 hour fasts 1 day cheat day. Anything goes! I have been steadily losing 1.5 lbs a week and now I'm 3 lbs away from my goal weight. I also drink coffee regularly with a bit of non dairy creamer. Also, I eat healthy on 2-3 days and the rest I eat less healthy food. Overall I lost 18 lbs through IF. Now that I'm almost at my goal weight I'm trying to decide what to do. I dont want to let go of fasting but also I dont want to keep losing weight.

This is not true. I've been fasting in ramadan for every year of my adult life. When you open your fast, you crave food more than you normally would. I'd maybe lose a pound or gain a couple pounds during ramadan depending on how I ate. Now with IF, it is starving your body AND eating very little food. Just doing IF and eating your regular portions will not have you losing weight. On that note, in past 10 days I've lost 5 lbs. Went from 171 to 166. Woof. This stuff really works.

On that note, if you have Amazon Prime, watch this movie called Newton. It's India's official entry to Oscars, and one of the best movies I've seen recently. Feel free to ask for recommendations. I have a brief history of Bollywood with songs that defined the decade - my opinions only!! 1940s - Andaaz 1950s - Awara 1960s - Aradhana Since there was a lot of groovy stuff happening in the swinging 60's, I can't let this go by Teesri Manzil 1970's - Julie 1980's - Sharaabi 80's gets a disco edition as well! Qurbaani 1990's - Dil Se 00's - Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai I wish I had more time to write out why I think these songs were defining. There are a lot more I wanted to include!

Watched the whole thing and the documentary was pretty biased toward the Rajneeshis in my opinion. Blatantly. They never even explain why the homeless people were drugged or what happened afterwards. Sheela never talks about any of the bad shit. There's overt stuff too like playing a sombre or uplifting tone while talking about the commune and then playing a dark, ominous music when talking about the government authorities. They go to great lengths to establish why the commune became militarized. I believe what the old dude (silvertooth?) at the end said about Rajneesh was entirely correct, that Rajneesh was a scam artist and duped soulless westerners looking for eastern mysticism (and free sex and drugs) into his cult and raked in millions. He loved living like a king, and he loved adoration. He figured out that if you convince enough idiots, they will give cash hand over fist. 20 fucking Rolls Royce-es, $10m Rolex watch, sparkly ass clothes. Good lord. While his followers were forced to wear cheap tjmaxx maroon pajamas and not wear any jewelery. His followers emptied their pockets for him while he reveled in riches. Also no one talked about this, but Bhagwan means God in Hindi. So the guy thought of himself as a God. There were number of new age movements after the war ended and this was simply the biggest one. I kind of feel for antelope though, speaking as an immigrant minority myself who the Antelope residents would probably want deported in an instant, I wouldn't ever want to disturb a community with my ways or just cause unnecessary hardship. Just because the Constitution says it's ok does not mean you can strut around anywhere you want and disturb existing peace. I mean you can, but you'll need to be a real asshat (which the Rajneeshis were). Sheela did a horrible job. She should have picked a spot in a desert patch somewhere and the commune would still be thriving today. She picked it too close to a town and they didn't want any of it.

I think its fine even if there is no capital punishment in Islamic society. Since Islam has been meant for all of time since, it should have flexibility to adapt to changing human behavior. Rehabilitating convicts in 580 AD does not make sense but it does in 2018. Similarly a capital punishment for treason makes sense in medieval era but does not make sense today.

i3 looks like shit though. My biggest problem with manufacturers building their electric cars is their cars look total shit. I sure as hell dont want to be seen driving one and look like a total goofball. Tesla started the cool look of electric cars and its the biggest push for me to get a Tesla, besides being fully electric, fun to drive and a bit of a luxury car as well. Think of it from her perspective. All she knew was that there is supposed to be an airplane thats gonna smuggle her out at 0600 tomorrow, and Omar is supposed to take her there. She gets stranded in Omar's house and the deadline is fast approaching. She can either let things play out and forget any chance of leaving Gilead OR she can take things in her own hands and go to the airstrip. She did the latter. Its not the worst decision she made to be honest. It makes sense, but maybe not in hindsight. What doesnt make sense is how everyone correctly pointed out that shes fumbling and fidgeting around in Omar's house, peering through windows (!) and just being an idiot. Despite Omar telling her the walls have ears. Plus the fact that she knows her way to the airstrip from the forest based on a map was stretching it quite a bit. Then a random dude shows up and gets shot. When the pilot landed, I was like no way this is safe in Gilead and this dude is gonna get blown from the sky to bits. These things plus her wanting to drive away (!?) in Nick's car to see Hannah in last episode makes me feel like the writers are having trouble this season. Season 1 was tight as fuck.

One point I'd argue against is NVA and Viet Cong being more experienced than US Army. That was not the case. They were rather MORE inexperienced than US Army. One thing the miniseries does is get the POV from those who fought from Vietnamese side as well. They were losing fighters by truckloads and almost entirety of their soldiers were peasants without prioir combat experience. Westmooreland's entire strategy was to reach "crossover point" where NVA/VC could not supply new soldiers faster than their dead, so the marines did kill a fuckload of Vietnamese. There were not many experienced fighters left.

Speaking of guns I'm watching the Vietnam PBS miniseries on Netflix and it got to the part where an entire platoon of US soldiers were killed after their M-16s jammed due to rain and mud in the middle of a particularly intense firefight. After a bit, the Viet Cong walked up to them and shot them execution-style in the face. None of the VC's AK 47's jammed, ever. What a fuckin disservice to the troops. How did the government ever approve a rifle that was not at all suited to a tropic climate? I wish the troops just ditched their rifles and switched to AK 47 completely.

Supreme Court basically "ignored" everything Trump said on twitter and the news and just focused on whether executive has power or not. This is extremely alarming to me. Its infantalizing the President and pretty much asking everyone to ignore everything he says and just focus on his actions. Imagine Watergate scandal and the court says ignore Nixon's words and just focus on his actions. Or what if the Supreme Court says Trump's words on firing Comey on that nbc interview or twitter do not count anymore? Fucking hate Gorsuch and Mitch the Bitch so much.
